Purpose:

The purpose of this program is to help encourage the mentee in their criminal justice studies by maintaining an interest in their academic success and helping them connect with existing LE professionals who can advise them on LE career options which might be a good fit for them to pursue.

Responsibilities of Mentee:

• Initiate contacts/meetings at least once every 60 days (2 months) with Mentor or Unit Contact (assuming they have given permission) until the end of the school year (ex: 22/23 school year would be May of 2023).
• Interview/shadow/ride along with Unit Contact to learn more about that area of work and explore options within the LE profession.
• Maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA
