The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and Hennepin County Sheriff Foundation hosted our annual Hooked on Fishing event in Mound. 35 kids from Camp Christmas Tree got the opportunity to meet Sheriff Witt and other members of the HCSO, and spend the day on Lake Minnetonka Fishing. Fish were caught, Carbone’s pizza was eaten, water safety was learned, and young people and members of law enforcement got the chance to meet each other.

Thanks to Bay to Bay Boat Club, Howard’s Point Marina, and Chaska Fishing with Friends for providing the boats and crew. Thanks to the YMCA’s Camp Christmas tree for bringing such amazing kids. And special thanks to Sheriff Witt and the HCSO volunteers for making the day memorable. Finally, thanks to our Vice Chair, and Special Deputy Craig Hartman for putting all of this together.
